Q: My email address changed, how to change username?

As the email address that you used to register Tavex ID account is also your username when logging in, it cannot be changed in your profile. Please contact our customer support +372 627 9900 or by email tavid@tavid.ee and we will update it in system.

Q: Do I have to present any documents when buying gold or silver?

For sales and purchases of gold and silver products over 10 000 euros, we are required by Estonian law to identify the person. In order to facilitate the personal identification, the client shall present one of the following documents: – Estonian passport – ID card – Diplomatic passport – Driver’s license issued in Estonia – Passport of a foreign country or a passport of a foreigner NOTE! No transactions will be carried out upon failure to present the document!

Q: Can I use cash on delivery payment option?

No, unfortunately not. Tavid accepts only prepayments.

Q: Where should I store my investment gold?

People believe that storing gold is expensive and requires certain conditions, which actually is not the case. You can store your gold in the safe at home – no special environment or conditions needed, as gold is indestructible and not susceptible to corrosion. Gold has also very small dimensions – 1 kg of pure gold is smaller than your palm. In case you don’t want to take a risk and store your gold at home, you can use the storage box in some bank. However, please note that in crisis situations (such as war, natural disasters, and other situations that we insure against buying gold), access to a bank deposit may be limited or completely closed.

Q: May I exchange banknotes and coins at Tavid?

Bank note exchange means that the notes of Euro as well as the notes of foreign currencies can be exchanged for larger or smaller notes. For example: You have a hundred 20€ notes and wish to have four 500€ notes. You have ten 500 Swedish krona bank notes and wish to receive fifty 100 krona notes. This service has a fee. The minimum fee is 4 EUR or 1,0% of the sum for Euros and 1,0%–5% for foreign currencies. NOTE! Notes are exchanged in case Tavid has them in stock. Q: Do I have to pre-order when buying large amount of a currency?

Although we can arrange large sums of foreign currency at short notice, we recommend that you contact us on +372 627 9900 or at tavid@tavid.ee in order to reserve the currency.

Q: Do I have to pay a fee when exchanging currencies at Tavid?

Commission on foreign exchange is 3 euros.

Q: Does Tavid exchange foreign currency coins?

From foreign currency coins Tavid only buys GBP, PLN and LVL coins. NB! Please note that the exchange rate for coins is different to the regular exchange rate!

Q: Does Tavid sell or buy currencies that are not listed on its website?

Normally we only buy and sell currencies that are listed on our website, but you can always contact our customer service by email tavid@tavid.ee or call us +372 627 9900 and we may find the solution to change the currency you want.
