Introduction
These are secondary market coins, which are subject to VAT margin scheme taxation!
All new silver investment products are subject to full 24% VAT taxation in Estonia. Secondary market coins, however, are taxed under a special margin scheme whereby VAT is calculated only on the difference between the resale price and the purchase price of the product. In simplified terms, only the margin is taxed under this taxation scheme, rather than the full value of the product. Therefore, secondary market coins provide a tax-efficient way for both private individuals and non-VAT-registered legal entities to invest in physical silver.
The application of the VAT margin scheme requires that the coins have previously been owned by a private investor/collector or by a non-VAT-registered legal entity, and that the coin has subsequently been sold back to Tavid AS by such a party. Since VAT has already been paid upon the initial purchase, the special VAT scheme is applied when the coin is resold for the second time.

Obverse
Issued as Australian legal tender, the obverse of each coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the year-date.
Reverse
The coin’s reverse portrays the classic red kangaroo design by Dr Stuart Devlin AO CMG, goldsmith and jeweller to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As a Perth Mint first, the coin includes an authentication feature on the reverse. In the form of a micro-laser engraved letter ‘A’ which is within the word AUSTRALIA, it is only detectable under a magnifying glass.
Packaging
If you choose to purchase individual pieces, each 1 oz Australian Kangaroo Silver Coin will be separately packaged in a plastic capsule (hard plastic cap), which makes it easy to transport and store the product. At any time, you can take the coin out of the package and put it back in it.
If you purchase 25 pieces or multiples of this number, coins can be shipped in the original sealed tube, while if you order a total of 250 silver Kangaroos, which are 10 tubes of 25 pieces, we can send your order in a form of so-called masterbox.
Delivery
When placing an order through our online shop, you can choose to have the products delivered to you by Omniva courier or to collect them in person at one of our offices in Estonia.
Delivery by FedEx/TNT courier: after we have received your payment, the products will be dispatched within 24 hours. Delivery time is within 1 or 2 working days. The courier will contact you via phone.
Delivery to Omniva parcel machine: after we have received your payment, the products will be dispatched within 24 hours. Delivery time is normally within 1 or 2 working days. Please provide your phone number in order to receive SMS notification with a confirmation code when your parcel arrives.
Self pick-up: you are welcome to come and collect your products at one of our offices in Tallinn or Tartu the same day that we have received your payment.
In both instances, you need to bring a valid ID to collect the products.Take into consideration that the client, the payer and the recipient must be the same person.
Insurance
The package is fully insured, and in the extremely unlikely case that the package is lost or damaged, we will re-ship the items or refund your money.
Packaging
The products are encased in protective wrapping and placed in a discreet, unbranded padded package.
Shipment tracking
Once the products have been packaged and sent you will receive instructions and a code to track the shipment.
Delays
Should a delivery delay occur or if the ordered product is out of stock, we will always contact you by email to give you details about the delivery.
Shipping prices
The shipping charge is 5.16 EUR by Omniva courier and 2.95 EUR by Omniva parcel machine, applicable to deliveries within Estonia.
